Long distance fibre optic converter.
- RS485-fibre-optic converter for long-distance data transfer from an RS485 line via fibre-optic backbone.
- It can be used in point-to-point topology, with spans of up to 2 km, or in ring topology, up to a maximum of 4 km.
- It allows the length of the serial line to be extended beyond the physical limits of RS485.
- Especially recommended for:
- Data transport in highly disturbed environments.
- Creation of open field connection backbones.
- Immunity to lightning strikes.
- Elimination of ground loops between devices.
